For the past eight years, the Greensboro Partnership has held the Capital Connects event. It puts entrepreneurs in front of an audience to give a short presentation. There is a prize handed out for the audience favorite, but the real value is getting to pitch your idea to real, interested investors. Futures can, and have, been made at these events.
This year I'm proud to have helped one of the investors to compete. I was beside them when they were going through the Startup Lab, and I'm goad to see them getting even further along their path. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet the people who are trying to help our community and local economy grow. If you have a chance, this Tuesday, November 18th, come out and see some bright ideas on the verge of turning into next years realities.
